About Me

Hi! I am extremely delighted that you took the time to check out what whyoppressed.com is all about.

I’m Gurasees Gosal, a sixteen-year-old with a mission to make a meaningful impact. Originally from India and having also experienced the diverse culture of Canada, I’ve encountered my share of challenges. Moving to Canada felt like a dream at first, but soon I faced the harsh reality of bullying. Standing out due to my color and culture, my confidence took a hit. Fortunately, with the support of friends, family, and a caring school counselor, I regained my self-worth and learned an essential lesson: ignoring bullies is often the most effective response.

Now back in India, I’ve noticed that bullying is a widespread issue, even in communities with similar backgrounds. This realization has fueled my passion to raise awareness about bullying, especially since many in India are not fully aware of its severe impact on individuals’ lives and self-esteem.

Acknowledging my own past mistakes, I’m committed to making amends by helping those affected by bullying. This blog is my effort to support victims, assure them they are not alone, and empower them to overcome adversity. Here, I also share my thoughts on what’s happening in the world around us, offering insights and reflections on current events and social issues.

I envision this blog as a beacon of hope—offering guidance, sharing stories, and fostering a positive outlook. Let’s work together to create a world where everyone can embrace their true selves and live without fear, inspired by the words of Guru Tegh Bahadur: “Fear none, frighten none.”
